Point Lookout & Surfers’ Paradise

Point Lookout is a half hour far from Byron bay by walk

Once you reach Byron bay lighthouse, don’t turn back,go straight on following the little path that comes down towards the ocean, and in 15 minutes you’ll reach Point Lookout,

the eastern point of Australia!

From point lookout we saw two whales that day, mother and his puppy, jumping  out from water, unluckly I didn’t have the right lens…

The ocean was calm enough but the cliff was hit by very high waves, get to close would have been really dangerous

Here’s the eastern rock of Australia!

It was too high to be climbed, and already busy

That is the path that leads to Byron bay lighthouse and Point Lookout,NE corner of the map!

The Surfers’ Paradise is quite close to Byron,a flat or a house behind that beach costs a fortune, given that here you could go to that wonderful beach all the year, winter is not cold at all here!

The water was a bit cold, but surfers don’t mind things like that, there were a lot of people with their board that was going to the car to sleep there and wake up early in the morning only to get good waves!

This place deserve his name,if you come here be prepared,it costs a lot,but it worths absolutely every dollar you’ll spend

Byron Bay Lighthouse

Last weekend we decided to do a promenade

to the byron lighthouse!

The path went through the bush,it was really narrow and the vegetation was so thick that was hard to see all the moving things

The path starts from here,30 minutes by walk to reach the lighthouse,it has been really scary,a freaky australian animal could suddently come out in every moment!

To reach this point we took something like 10 minutes, going quite fast,so it was in the deep bush!

Who one would like to take a seat overthere, where spiders or snakes could bite you in every moment?

There were steps, climbs and descents everywere,we sweated one half hour to get to the lighthouse, but after all the landscape was amazing!

Sometimes we were able to see the ocean,in the middle of the deep forest there were some holes in which it appeared

that seems to be the entrance to dante’s hell

in fact after some minutes we entered in,a girl crossing our street said us that se had just seen 2 brown snakes not so far from there

(if one bites you,you die in 40 minutes)

lucky us,after some hundred metres we heard some creepy noises from left and right, two unknown animals were running away from us,luckly, but we died inside anyway

At last we started seeing the lighthouse, step by step bigger and bigger, and there was no more bush or creepy sounds!

After the lighthouse we went on walking, till the Point Lookout, near the seaside, the eastern point of australia

All in the next post, stay tuned!

Byron Bay

Our 2nd week end in Byron

here’s some photos

That’s the main beach of byron, the one in which all the people come to sunbathe,to do some surf,to lay on the greengrass playing a guitar or simply to relax!

Even if it’s still spring is often really hot,and in spite of all the sea monster people go anyway in the sea, swimming or surfing

That day we didn’t take so much sun,but last weekend we have come back to byron, walking till lighthouse, and the sun has shined all the time!

If you decide to come to Byron, you are warned!it’s full of hippies, drunks and strange people, but it’s a beautiful place,if you come in australia that’s a must!

That’s the hostel in which we stayed 1 night,it costs 25 $ in a 10 people room,it’s really nice, internet point quite cheap, free dinner from 7 to 8 pm if you take a drink and most of all,a swimming pool you can use anytime!

Our room!In which room there’s a bathroom with shower and a door that leads to another little room, for two people only, but you pay much more for that..

Here it is,the hostel swimming pool!

That night was sourrounded by backpackers drinking beer, and there was  “jaws” (lo squalo) screened, just to prepare to sunday beach time…

Mullumbimby

The post you are going to read

is being written and it has been

photographed in Mullumbimby,

665 leftbank road,new south wales!

Come here to tell me ciao!

Here’s the place in which we stayed for 1 week, and in which we will have to rest for 7 more!

That’s the place in which we sleep every night!

when the sun goes down, there are a lot of creepy sounds!

That’s the place where we were supposed to sleep, but was so full of bugs and the girls didn’t want to rest there!

So it has become our wardrobe!

The house in which we get meals is twenty feet from our tent, son after being waken up we get breakfast in 30 minutes, then we start working,7 hours by day, raining ones included 🙂

The house stands right in behind our tent, and the tend is between the house and the caravan “wardrobe”

Thats the sitting room and the kitchen, that we share with two puppets,in front of this room there’s a beautiful bush landscape, behind one room and some stairs that leads to the boss bedroom

Here’s the room behind the kitchen!

And our cooking size!

That’s the landscape we see from the sitting room-kitchen!

The bathroom and the shower have been built here,300 mt from the house and 100 from our tent, but during night the creepy crawling noises of the bush take me really far from here!

The shower is amazing, you can see what happens outside, but from outside anybody can’t see you!
